Here at CARGOpak, we are experts in the various regulatory requirements of shipping hazardous materials and dangerous goods shipping to and from the United States. We know that no two businesses are alike, so our services can be customized for each client’s individual needs. From the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Hazardous Materials regulations (CFR-49) to international dangerous goods regulatory requirements for air (ICAO) through the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) and ocean (IMO) through the IMDG Code, our team has a fully comprehensive knowledge in all regulatory modal compliance.
With over 35 years of experience in helping small businesses to large corporations, as well as state and federal government agencies, we understand the complexities of transporting hazardous materials and dangerous goods, so you can rest assured that you, and your products, are in good hands.
Training Your Team
Transporting hazardous materials and dangerous goods is not without risk. Making sure your employees understand the regulations and compliance obligations for shipping these HazMat/DG items for your company is paramount. Our knowledgeable instruction will ensure your employees leave with a complete understanding of the mandatory requirements of the US Hazardous Materials Regulations ( HMR) found in CFR 49, Sub-Part H Training §172.704.
When it comes to providing training solutions for shipping hazardous materials, there is not a one-size fits all solution. From private and public online-based webinars and courses, to on-site training at your facilities, we provide a wide range of training solutions to meet your individual needs.
At CARGOpak, we provide fully customizable training in whichever format best suits your business and the needs of your personnel.
Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, the DOT recognizes obtaining recurrent training can present problems for hazmat employers and will not take any enforcement action while the national state of emergency exists.
It is important to know the HMR does not specify that recurrent training must be provided in a traditional classroom setting or through on the job training. Any method of training delivery, including web based, self-paced computer instruction, remotely delivered classroom instruction, on the job training, or some combination of those methods that cover the required elements in 49 CFR 172 Subpart H are acceptable.
